The Reuss is a river in Switzerland. The length is 164 kilometres (102 mi). The drainage basin is 3,426 square kilometres (1,323 sq mi). It is the fourth largest river in Switzerland (after the Rhine, Aare and Rhône).

The upper Reuss forms the main valley of the canton of Uri. The course of the lower Reuss runs from Lake Lucerne to where it connects with the Aare at Brugg.

Gruyère

The “Étang de la Gruère” is a dammed, but natural moor lake situated in a hollow on the highland plateau of the Franches-Montagnes in the canton of Jura.Together with the forested area around the lake itself, the nature reserve covers an area of 1km2.

It lies at an elevation of 998 metres a.s.l. on the municipality land of Saignelégier, approximately half way between Saignelégier and Tramelan. The lake is 600m long, 60m wide at its narrowest point and around 5m deep. Taken together with the forested area around the actual lake and two further small moor ponds to its north east, the Étang de la Gruère nature sanctuary comprises an area of approximately 1km2.

Consolation – Doubs

Parking at the Consolation site car park.
Exit the car park in the direction of the site, past the water mill and take the road to begin your ascent.
When climbing up, there is a sign on the right pointing out the Roche du Prêtre at the edge of a path, take this.
Having arrived at the top by the road, go ahead to the right of the restaurant to find a path with a Roche du Prêtre signboard.

Gorges de l’Ardèche

Vallon-Pont-d’Arc is a capital of prehistoric and cultural tourism. This small village, peaceful in wintertime, sees its population expand ten-fold in summer. Its tourist importance largely comes from the fact that it is the departure point for the river descent of the Gorges de l’Ardèche (from Pont d’Arc to Saint-Martin-d’Ardeche).
